about

"The black moment is the moment when the real message of transformation is going to come. At the darkest moment comes the light.” -Joseph Campbell

Catastrophic drought forced the Aztec people into a nomadic lifestyle. Their god Huitzilopotchli instructed them to settle at a place where they would find "an eagle perched on a cactus devouring a serpent". They wandered for many years until they finally spotted their high sign on an island in a lake. They built the city of Tenochtitlan on that island and it became the largest city in the pre-Columbian Americas. The city is now known as Mexico City.

It seems that most people experience a varying degree of this same hardship at some point in their life. In desperate times, it can be difficult to achieve clarity unless we have some kind of hope to hold on to. I wrote much of this album about some of those dark moments in my life and my never ending journey to spiritual clarity. You might foster hope in spiritual faith, your favorite record, or some other genre of love. Find something that gives you hope because it might be the very thing that leads you back home.

Everything on this album is a product of hard work and years of experience on the stage and in the studio. We aren’t a touring band, and we don’t have any label or investor money backing us up. This album started as a live studio session in February 2019. In the past year we have toiled to get the songs exactly how we want you to hear them. We are proud of the sound, production, and message of this album and excited to release it to you! If you know someone who would like our music feel free to share it!
